Our services are specifically designed for these companies who want to take advantage of our extensive network in the Business and Information Services and Technology (IS&T) industries. How we engage with our offshore clients

    Equator Partners offers its services in two ways:

Annual Contract plus commission

Typically, our Clients engage with us on an annual contract basis with a fixed monthly retainer fee plus commission on the revenues that result from our efforts and the referrals we provide. Other expenses, such as travel, collateral development, and trade show fee, etc. are billed separately, only after they have been discussed with, and are pre-approved by the client.

Under this engagement model, our clients can expect to receive the following Business Development Services:

    blue bullet Introductions: Access to the network of contacts provided by the partners and associates of Equator Partners. We will share with you the list of all potential companies in our network. More importantly, we will work closely with you to identify and narrow down the list to a manageable number where targeted introductions and referrals have a better chance of success. If you have certain target companies, then we will use our network to find ways to open doors where possible.

    blue bullet Client Presentation or Showcasing: Assistance with packaging of services and capabilities provided by our clients.  "Putting your best foot forward" is one of the key aspects of good business development. We have a finger on the pulse of the market and we will guide you through the process of creating the best client appeal with your offering.

    blue bullet Target Market Identification:  Working closely with your team, our consultants and principals will analyze the market and help you identify the most suitable target market and marketing strategy to promote your company's services and offerings in a specific market segment or segments. Identifying the markets and industries most receptive to your offering or opportunities least explored by the majority of players will give you the best return on your initial marketing effort and will allow you to build up your market presence from a broader base in a shorter period of time.

    blue bullet Product and Service Positioning: Tailoring the Client's offerings and marketing message to bestcompete with existing offerings in the same target market. We will assist you in designing the message as well as in delivering it to the right places – such as professional magazines, trade shows or via our network of contacts. As indicated earlier, the cost of advertising, travel and collateral will be billed separately.

    blue bullet Representation: In specific markets and geographies, Equator Partners can represent your company at trade shows (up to two per year), identify marketing vehicles to maximize your market presence visibility and investigate opportunities for direct introductions, when appropriate. We will not charge for our time traveling and attending the trade show, though the client will be responsible for our expenses related to travel, accommodation, meals, ground transportation, collaterals, and other business incidentals. Any activity that requires additional expenses will need to be pre-agreed by the client before we can undertake the activity.

Equator Partners provides Business Development Services, not Sales execution. The success to our business development efforts require full support from our client's sales and technical teams to close the business. This could include, but is not limited to making joint calls on the potential customers and client executives' follow up with the customer. The actual sales closure will be the responsibility of clients' teams. Our team is NOT an extension of client's sales teams. We open doors for our customers so that they can get direct access to decision makers; they will still need to present their products and services with appropriate value proposition, prepare and submit bids, proposals and sign the contracts with customers.

Fee based services

Equator Partners offers services above and beyond the services covered under the Fixed Monthly Retainer & Commission engagement model. Working closely with our clients, we will analyze their needs, develop and document a plan of action, and execute the engagement based on agreed-upon Statement of Work.  While most of these services are billed on an hourly rate basis, some such as the Business Plan Services are offered for a fixed fee based on the scope of the project.

Examples of these discrete services include:

    blue bullet Account Executive functions: Overseas clients who do not have adequate presence in a geography retain our services to follow up with Client's customers to increase the potential for repeat business. This can also include other services such as Equator Partners acting as a local liaison on behalf of a client who only has presence off shore.

    blue bullet Marketing / Advertising: We assist our clients in placing advertisements in target market segments, news papers, trade journals, TV, trade shows etc. The cost of advertisement collateral and channel is agreed upon and billed separately.

    blue bullet Program/Project Management: We offer program management services such as managing or coordinating marketing programs and campaign as well as project management at all levels, including managing complex projects with international focus and dependencies.

    blue bullet Market Analysis, Impact Analysis: On hourly basis we provide the client with analytical work producing reports relevant to their target markets, their specific efforts such as individual campaigns etc.

    blue bullet Sales Force Augmentation: We recommend and recruit sales personnel on behalf of our clients.

    blue bullet Business Plan and Feasibility Studies: For clients who want to explore offerings or services outside of their portfolio or develop a new product/service to compete in a segment where they are not currently represented, Equator Partners provides custom consulting services and feasibility studies to address their specific needs. Our consultants will work closely with you to understand your requirements, validate the rationale against the market data, and assist you in writing a well-documented business plan for you to execute it in the set target market and geography.
